Body Autonomy

October 10 – November 20, 2022

Group Exhibition featuring 24 women and non-binary artists nationwide. Exhibition artworks address recent attacks on non-male bodies, trans rights, reproductive rights, pleasure and public health for all child-bearing bodies.

Artworks address recent attacks on non-male bodies, trans rights, reproductive rights, pleasure and public health for all child-bearing bodies. Body Autonomy features a collection of uncensored artwork that responds either directly to the overturning of Roe versus Wade (literally or conceptually), or any of the general themes of displacement, labor (in its multi-senses), care, pleasure, public health, and issues relating to women’s, trans, and non-binary bodies.

Exhale by Chloe Bensahel, 17x24 each, wool, paper thread, ink, tapestry, $12,000.jpg

See Support Collect (SSC) is an intersectional placemaking and gap-filling initiative that focuses on collectorship of art by women and non-binary artists. Helmed by Latela Curatorial, this initiative began at the start of the pandemic and has taken on a variety of forms each year to include multiple online and IRL exhibitions.
